Our Story
Founded as Diamond Fire Door and now re branded to Diamond architectural openings, Ryan Mabley the founder of Diamond has spent the last decade working on the installation & rework side of the industry. Starting from 1 man in a truck it was a fast transition into opening a branch with a welding shop & operating head office. Having to buy all materials from major manufactures and having lead time issues, Diamond realized that it would be more time efficient if they opened a manufacturing facility , therefore Diamond manufacturing was born in 2019 in Markham ON. Having the manufacturing facility allowed Diamond to have the advantage to control product output and having project deadlines met in record time with no delays. Today Diamond Architectural Openings & Diamond Manufacturing has an extensive staff with experts who have more than 40 years of experience in the industry. Our team has the ability to cover and complete Division 8 & 10 projects, Because Diamond believes in “90% planning 10% doing” We guide our clients from the consulting stages right to the completion.

Project Manager
-
Provides overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support to a medium size construction project.
-
Ensures the project is constructed as per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.

Understands client drivers and offers value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefit.
-
Manages project performance and providing performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
-
Negotiates, issues purchase orders and monitors their progress and schedule.
-
Understands, communicates, and enforces the contract and contract documents.
-
Identifies and manages risk and opportunities on construction projects.

Vast understanding of Doors, Frames & Hardware
02.
CAD detailer
-
3-5 years’ experience with Auto-CAD and deep knowledge of wood, Wood Products, Metal and profile details.
-
Ability to pull apart drawing and technical spec with a solid understanding of trade scope of work.
-
Demonstrate reliability, and accountability.
-
Must be able to produce accurate shop drawings for fabrication, site measure, material take-off, and material orders.

Excellent attention to detail

Strong organization skills & Communication skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Ability to participate in a team environment
03.
Junior Estimater
-
Prepares cost estimates on conceptual, design-build or general tender work
-
Reviews proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and contents of estimate.

Performs preliminary and detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.

Follow up with quotes issued to clients
-
Reviews design options and recommends best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.

Analyze drawings and associated tender documents

Approach, discuss and maintain communications with Vendors
-
Co-ordinate and complete contract documentation prior to project start

Research costs/pricing to determine cost effectiveness

Work closely with the Project Management Team for project execution and closing

Adhere to deadlines ensuring timely submission of all bid documents accurately and efficiently
